Terms of Service

Sorry for the boring bit at the beginning – so many words to read! It’s important that you read and sign this, however, so we are on the same page and you are aware (and in agreement with) our terms and conditions. Then we can get on with the fun stuff!

Training methods

The training methods taught by EverydogLife are modern, positive and scientifically proven. We use positive reinforcement techniques which are fair, kind and effective. Rough handling of dogs, physical force and/or the use of equipment that is designed to cause pain, discomfort or intimidation to dogs does not align to our ethos. Equipment such as choke chains, check chains, e collars, prong collars, spray collars, hand-held spray devices (or any other device deemed to be unsuitable) will not be allowed in class or to be used during private training sessions.

Payments, Refunds and Cancellations

Payment by bank transfer is required within 48 hours of reserving a place at a training class, unless otherwise agreed by Everydog Life. This is because classes are filled quickly, and we wouldn’t want you to lose your place to another. Once payment is made, it is non-refundable. In some circumstances (when a client is unable to take up the original place due to serious unforeseen circumstances) you may transfer your training credit onto a different class or service. We are unable to offer refunds on missed sessions, but you will be sent a recap email for every class in the course for which you have paid – whether you attended the session or not.

Private sessions must be paid for within 48 hours of booking to assure your specified appointment; sessions fill quickly so we wouldn’t want you to miss out. Private sessions can be refunded with 14 days’ notice (a full refund will be provided minus a £15 administration fee) or re-arranged with 7 calendar days’ notice. If notice is less than 7 calendar days’ but longer than 48 hours (before your scheduled appointment) re-arrangement is at the sole discretion of EverydogLife but we will try to accommodate (we will try to fill your scheduled slot with another client) but this cannot be guaranteed. If your cancellation is less than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment, the session cannot be rearranged or refunded (unless in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of EverydogLife). If you have purchased a puppy package all visits must take place within a three-month window or any un-used sessions will be forfeited (except in exceptional circumstances and with the agreement of EverydogLife).

Suitability for the Class Environment

Some dogs are not suited to a class environment due to over-excitement, fear, anxiety, dislike of other dogs or people etc. (this is not the same as a young puppy who is new to the class environment and is a little unsure of new things). Dogs who are known to be reactive; they bark or lunge towards other dogs or people or dogs who exhibit nervous behaviour such as cowering in the presence of other dogs or people will not be best served by a class environment; it is not fair on your dog or the other attendees. If your dog is not suited to a class training environment we may be able to offer alternative solutions, such as private training sessions. If your dog is deemed, by us, to be stressed, fearful or reactive in class we will make efforts to alleviate the situation, but we may have no
choice but to ask you to remove your dog from the class (for that session or the rest of the course). This is in the best interests of your dog and the rest of the class attendees. If you are concerned (or unsure) of how your dog will respond to a class/group environment, please contact us prior to booking so that we may assist you in determining the best training solution for your dog (as refunds due to this issue are not provided).

Children

Children are very welcome to attend classes or training sessions. We do ask that supervising adults ensure that children do not approach or touch dogs without appropriate supervision and permission. We accept no responsibility for children at classes; it is the responsibility of the supervising adult to ensure that children are safe, 2 at all times. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised so that learning is not disrupted for other participants. Everydog Life reserves the right to request that disruptive children leave the training environment.

Safety

Any instances of accident or injury must be reported to us at the time they occur. A first aid kit is available at training classes. All dogs must remain on lead and kept away from contact with other dogs unless specifically instructed by us (for off-lead play for example). Extending leads are not permitted in class to avoid injury

Health and Vaccination

All dogs and puppies attending class should be appropriately protected from the potential risk of disease as well as being treated for parasites. Please consult with your veterinary professional regarding this protection. Our indoor venues are only routinely used by dogs attending our classes, but this is no guarantee that there is no risk of disease at our venues or when your dog encounters other dogs (in class) or shared equipment such as toys. Please do not bring your dog to class if he or she has been in contact with another dog infected by a contagious disease or if they are unwell; they are suffering from sickness, diarrhea, a cough, a runny nose, runny eyes etc. If your dog has any known allergies to certain foods, please let us know at the beginning of your course. By booking a place at class you are agreeing to our terms and conditions; you are accepting full responsibility for the protection of your dog from the risk of disease and parasitic infection and verifying that you will not bring your dog or puppy to class if they are unwell. We also ask that you do not bring bitches to class who are in season.

Marketing

Photographs may occasionally be taken during training sessions; these photos may be used by Everydog Life for the purposes of marketing our business via our website or social media pages. We often post graduation photos on the business Facebook page, for example. We may use written feedback (obtained via paper or online) on our website or social media pages. We will never use your surname (only your first name and that of your dog). If you are not happy for us to use your feedback in this way, please let us know.

Disclaimer

We make every effort to ensure the safety of both clients and their dogs during training classes. By making a booking with us, you are accepting that participating in an activity with dogs, children and adults pose a risk of injury to yourself and/or your dog, and you agree to indemnify Everydog Life for all personal injury and damage to property whilst attending training. You agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might occur as a result of you attending classes with your dog. You also agree to make any person who accompanies you to the class or session (or takes your place) aware they are also doing so at their own risk.
